In the Divine Comedy the 'Colle di Dante' - Col Bastia - indicated a place of nefarious memories of Ezzelino III da Romano, the tyrant par excellence. |
Today in the place there is a bell tower with a circular base in memory of the ancient fortress of the Da Romano. The current tower was built in 1827 designed by Giovanni Zardo, a descendant of the Canova family. |
On the Col Bastia there is also an ancient church and the monument to Dante Alighieri, where the triplets of Paradise are reported. |

A pleasant walk through history and among the landscapes of the Grappa foothills. The start of the route and car park are behind the church of Romano d'Ezzelino. The tower can only be visited outside. |
