The Ossuary Temple is considered a doubly sacred place. The building was in fact born as the new Cathedral of the city, but was then consecrated to the fallen of the First World War; here find almost six thousand Italian soldiers who lost their lives during the last battle in Monte Grappa (1917-1918). Among them there are many soldiers who belonged to the "boys of '99" or the young just eighteen who were called to the front to make up for military losses due to the defeat of Caporetto. The first stone of the Ossuary Temple was laid in 1908 thanks to the will of Mons. Gobbi but the construction was not finished until 1930.
