Bassano del Grappa represents the eighth reality in the center of the Veneto region by population, and second in the province of Vicenza. Bassano del Grappa has a total population of about 70,000 inhabitants and the area that gravitates around it has about 160,000 inhabitants.

Climate and Territory

The climate of Bassano del Grappa is semi-continental, with particularly cold and humid winters, and hot and muggy summers. The proximity to hills and mountains offers the climate a ventilation and less humid than the Venetian plain). Located at 129 meters above sea level (minimum altitude 84, maximum altitude 1276) with an excursion of 1192 meters, the city extends for 46.79 square kilometers.

Geographic location

Bassano del Grappa is located in the north-east of the Italian peninsula, in the heart of the Veneto region, on the border between the provinces of Vicenza, Padua and Treviso. The city is located at the foot of the Venetian Pre-Alps (Altopiano di Asiago and Monte Grappa), at the point where the Brenta flows from the Brenta Canal (Valsugana).
