The Olympic Theater was built to a design by the architect Andrea Palladio, between 1580 and 1585, which was inspired by the models of classical art and is the oldest covered masonry theater in the world. The interiors are made with poor materials such as wood, stucco and plaster. Nowadays, the theater is open to the public and has about 400 seats. It is still the venue for performances and concerts. It was included in the list of World Heritage Sites by the CEHR in 1994 as well as other Palladian works in Vicenza.
