The Oasis Lipu Garzaia di Pederobba lies in an area of great naturalistic value between the provinces of Treviso (in the municipal territories of Pederobba, Valdobbiadene and Segusino) and Belluno (in the municipality of Fener), where the Piave joins the piedmont area .

The area is surrounded by two rivers: the river Piave, with a torrential character and the resurgences of the S.Giacomo fountains, slow flowing. The whole area covers an area of 163 hectares, in this context the Lipu Oasis occupies the central part of the 6-hectare wood where the herons (garzaia) nest. The nests are placed on mature poplar trees at heights varying between 4-5 and 10-15 meters in height.
